Sophie & Sheba (2010)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1414374/?ref_=sr_1

This is a film that shows friendship between a girl and her elephant (Sheba). The girl grew up with the elephant and when her parents had to sale it to the circus to help pay for their zoo. Sophie joins the circus to keep an eye on Sheba and help get her out of there. I feel the relationship between Sophie and Blake grew to quickly and it felt freak to me. If they added a few more days in the film I think that would have helped and when Magnus had his change of heart that came to quick as well.

Total Recall (2012)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1386703/?ref_=sr_1

I did not want to watch this movie, but my fiancĂ© was watching it and I got sucked into it. I did not think that I would like it or that it was interesting but once I started watching it I realized that it was a good movie. It was not what I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be another SYFY space movie that dealt with aliens. Instead it was more like "Demolition Man", but with the main character trying to find out the true of who he is like in "The Bourne Identity"

Snow White and the Huntsman (2012)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1735898/?ref_=sr_1

I enjoy this spin on the children's tale. I liked how Snow White was shown as a strong woman and the being a female you can fight and win your battle. This kept my interest through the film. I know that there will be a sequel and I do not know how that would tie in with the original Disney movie. I hope the sequel does not kill the film.

Curtains (1983)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085385/?ref_=sr_2

This film could have been better. I did not get how a dancer and a ice skater got involved for the audition. The doll to me just did not make much sense. I know it was done in the 1980s but still. I have seen many films from that time period and they were done a lot better and not all the film was A-rated movies. I do not recommend this film.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0324216/?ref_=sr_2

This is the first time I have seen any of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre's. I enjoy films that were based on true events. I think they are more interesting then documentaries. I am not going to lie, there are a few good documentaries out there. In this film when Jessica Biel's character was in the truck did she not realize what direction they were going when she got in the truck? Now, she would have been turned around but you would think that she would have recognized he surrounding area. In the end when she ran the "Sheriff" over I was thinking, "Where is the baby?" I am surprise that the baby was not strapped down.

That's My Boy (2012)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1232200/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

The beginning part to me was distasteful. I an sure they could have done it better. It was a good movie don't get me wrong and the idea was good but some parts I thought they could have done better. I guess I had high exemptions for the movie.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1345836/

I am not a fan of the new Batman movies. I like the older ones. With this one I was not crazy about what was going on in the movie. I feel that there is a lot going on in the newer films. The ending did seem better and now I feel that the next film will be better but I do not know why it took three films to really get my interest.

Easy A (2010)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1282140/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

I like how Olive was helping the "nerdy" boys out. In life it would not have lasted that long. Usually in a week it becomes yesterdays news unless it is a catholic school. Marianne I think dress a little slutty for a good catholic. In some outfits it seemed that her skirt was a little short and should have know better there to act the way she did and spread the rumors. And her boyfriend being 20 and still in high school and her being underage she should have know better unless they would dating since before he was 18. It is a cute movie but I feel I will not watch it again unless I am bored and channel surfing.

The Canterville Ghost (1996)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115820/?ref_=sr_2

This is not like the original The Canterville Ghost from 1944. It does have the base of the story in the new version but I think it would have been better if they kept more to the original film. There are a few version of this movie and in each one there is something different in them. I like how they did make it more up to date do not get me wrong. I still like the original one.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1054606/

This was the last film Heath Ledger starred in. I believe he had passed away before it was completed (I am not 100% sure on that fact). This is a film the like to trick your mind. Not like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. This film shows some of the things that people image. How creative people minds can be. It is enjoyable to watch and I feel that I do not have to be channel surfing and see it on t.v. to want to watch it. There are a lot of creative things in it that, well I can not explain. When Jude Law made his appearance I did not know who he was because with the long hair, he did not stick out to me at first until I looked up who was in the film. This is a film I recommend teens and up watch.

The Lucky One (2012)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1327194/

So I have to drive to school about an hour and half away from where I live and my total travel time is about three hours. I decided I would listen to audio books while driving. I thought "I can listen to the books and then watch the movie once I finish listening to it."(if they was a movie on that book.) I do not recommend you do that with this film. While I was watching the movie I was thinking, "that is not what happen in the books" a lot. I understand changing a few things like the location, and  how they met. But, the relationship between father and son or the ending. I am torn between liking the book more or the movie. I would have to say I do like the book more because it did not seem like they rushed everything like in the movie. I guess if you watch the movie and not have read the book, it may not seem that way to you. I like reading a book and then watching the movie after I finish the book to understand the book a bit better (i.e. Northanger Abbey) but, when the movie has a lot of detail changed  I hate it. I understand not adding ALL the details from the book but I feel that there was some important details that were not added in the movie.

What's Your Number? (2011)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0770703/

This was a cute movie. It is one that you feel like you can watch it again but know that it will not happen unless it happens to be on tv. I had a feeling that in the end Ally was going to end up with Colin. The story line was like the other comedy-romance movie. Well at least the ending was. If you could not figure out that Ally was going to fall for the guy and find out that he was holding back on something important and for the girl to find out and stop seeing him, then at a wedding or anniversary realize that he was the one after all and try to get him back. There would be something wrong there. I like these types of movies among others. You would need to be in a romance-comedy mood.

Ted (2012)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637725/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

I think Ted was a good film. In the end Lori wish for her life back to bring Ted back but she sure have included a girl bear for Ted. That's my thoughts. The kidnapping at the end where they were at the Stadium it did not make sense to me that the garage gate was opened enough for people to fit through. This is a film that I did not have much to say about but I would watch it again.

Population 436 (2006)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0462482/

This film was better then I expected it to be. I think if their made it a bit more of a mysterious it would have made it really good and I think more people would have seen it and mean it for other channels not just Syfy. But then again there was not much in it to make it seem like a Syfy movie.

Kramer vs. Kramer (1979)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079417/

This film is not what I excepted it to be. I thought it was going to be about a HUGE court case. I thought it was be kind of like Philadelphia. I heard a few times someone or in a movie people refer the Kramer vs. Kramer. The movie was heartwarming. When I started watching the film I thought when the trial started and the judge said that Billy would live with his mom that there was going to be more to the trial. When she showed up to pick him up and told Ted that she did not want to take him and that was the end of the movie I was a bit surprised.

Night of the Demons (2009)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1268809/

I think this was a good movie. I really liked the house. Maddie reminded me of Calista Flockhart in some scenes and Brittany Murphy in others. I was a little surprised that Shannon Elizabeth played a role in this film. For a B film it is great that they got her in to play a part in this film. When I saw the trailer for this film I thought it was going to be like Zombie Strippers! Toward the end of the film when Maddie hung herself I thought it was weird how she did not get decapitated and Evangeline did when she hung herself. What happened to Maddie's friend's bodies in the end? I thought the film was pretty good for a B rated film. If they put a little more effort in it it could have been one in the theater.

Beauty and the Beast (2010)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1410295/

This was another twist on the classic Disney movie Beauty and the Beast. This version has Bell as an adventurer and is not scared of the beast the second time she sees him. She tries to help the beast and she finds out that he is King Maxililian the XIII son and when he was born the evil witch put a spell on him. I enjoyed this version. There was more adventure. I like the original version as well.

2012 (2009)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1190080/

In 2008 and 2009 there were a few films released about the world coming to the end. There was "Knowing" that came out in 2009 and that was about aliens coming to earth to get some children because the world was coming to an end. There also was "The Day the Earth Stood Still" that came out in 2008. That was about aliens coming to earth to wipe it clean because the humans have destroyed the environment. The Mayan calendar says in the year 2012 that will be the end of earth. The calendar was created in 3372 B.C. now hear is food for thought. A.D. is to be the years after Christ right. Well if the calendar was created in the B.C. time how can it calculate the years of time Christ was alive? They may have calculated 5384 from the time they created the calendar or they may have calculated 2012 years from the time they created it. When scientist figured out the years they counted backward and how did the Mayan count their years? (i.e. 3372, 3371, 3370, etc...)With the movies that came out there are multiple ways the earth will end. I recall when I was younger there was a special on TV. that said in 2012 the world will end it starts with all electrical item will turn against you. That may be true, it may not be true. There has not been a movie showing that is one of the ways the world may end.

The Out-Of-Towners (1999)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0129280/

This is a funny movie. I enjoy watching it. Goldie Hawn, Steve Martin and John Cleese are great actors and are funny. I believe they made a great team. John Cleese dressed in drag hilarious. Goldie Hawn and Steve Martin made a great husband and wife couple going to New York. If you want to watch a good comedy this is a good choice.

The Help (2011)

 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1454029/

This was a great film. I think it is worth watching again. I love how the stories that shows the true about the civil rights movement and how things were back then. The film may not be based on true events or it may be true. Even if the story is not true it still has some truth behind it. For example Titanic the love story about Jack and Rose may be fake the things that happening around them were things that did happen. In The Help I did not like the way Hilly treated the servants, people in general. Why do some people feel the need to treat people so heartless? If you feel the need to treat people that way then there is something wrong with you.

Ballet Shoes (2007)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1083845/

This film was sweet. It showed the bonds of sisterhood. When Pauline took the contact in Hollywood just so she may pay for Petrova's tuition for the ballet school was heartwarming. When the girls tried to work to help pay the household bills and medical bills for Sylvia makes you think about the passion the girls had for their family. Even though they are not blood related there were still family. When Mr. Simpson was hanging out with Theo I did think they were getting "close" and was surprise but not to surprise about the outcome. In the end when the solider came and saw Theo that was something I did not expect. I did think this film ended a little short.

The Phantom of the Opera (2004)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293508/

This is one of my favorite films. There are some bloopers that are in it. here are a few. When Meg screams after Buquet (the stagehand) is hung she screams twice when she was suppose to scream once. They shot that scene either two times or with two cameras and did not overlap them to match the timing. another one is after the chandler falls Meg goes down to through the tunnels and in water and once in the Phantom's living quarters she walks into the sleeping area and her pants are dry. If you want to know about more bloopers go to http://www.moviemistakes.com/film4658.

The Final Destination (2009)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1144884/

With the Final Destination movies, they seem to be getting faker to me. I mean the scene in the back of the theater. Who keeps that much flammable liquid around or on a construction site and who would be working construction and continue to show movies on the other side? You know that to construction noise will over power the movie.

The Brothers Bloom (2008)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0844286/

The narrator spoke slow and was starting to put me asleep. When Stephen told Bloom's gun and wiped it clean and put it in Bloom's hand he left his fingerprints on it. When Stephen found Bloom and had coffee with him when did Stephen loosen the lid from the sugar? At Penelope's home the flat bed showed up fast unless it was already on site. Penelope was to get into things quickly. The train scene during the thunderstorm, WOW. That's all I have to say about that. in the kissing scene their noses look-a-like from their profile. So where does Penelope's habits come into play? How did she know that Stephen was not really shot? I had a feeling the Stephen was not playing died because he did not open his left eye fully.

X-Men Oringins: Wolverine (2009)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0458525/

I think this movie was good and I like the humor in it. The film takes place in 1845 so we know Wolverine is at least 155 years old. In the first X-men when you see Wolverine and Sabretooth meet they did not show that they knew each other or that they were brothers. The brothers were in many wars and as they continued to go to war Victor turned to the dark side. After Stryker recruited the mutants and they were in the elevator I love the music. In the first X-men Sabertooth is blonde and his eyes are ALL black. How did Wolverine and Kayla live in Canada and be able to wear short sleeves and nothing in bed? Sabertooth teeth grow throughout the film. For being over 155 years old you would think that his teeth would have been at the proper growth once he reached adulthood. With all the metal in Wolverine's body wouldn't he sink when in water? When Wolverine met the old couple and they gave him their son's clothes, why did not they say what happened to their son? When Wolverine said to Stryker, "After I kill Victor am coming after you." and he did. How did Remy LeBeau end up about a block away after Wolverine elbowed him in the face? How do the eyes continue to stay lit after it was disconnect from the body? Dr. Xavier walks and has no hair at the end of this movie but in X-Men: First Class in the end he was shot in the back and cannot walk and has hair.

X-Men: First Class (2011)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1270798/

I thought this movie was good. It answered questions. When Erik was young and was in Sebastian Shaw's office I could not help think (once they showed the whole office) "what a creepy office". Why would anyone want to have a wall of mirrors in their office? Maybe when he met with the enslaved members and wanted information from them he would lead them to that room and torture them. In this film Xavier looks like he is about 10 years younger than Erik. I thought they were the same age. In the second and third X-Men you see Hank and you would have never known until you saw this film that he liked Mystique. Which brings me to Xavier "adopting" Mystique as a sister and they never seemed like they knew or even liked each other in any other X-Men.

The Deer Hunter (1978)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077416/

I did not really enjoy this film. The majority of the film was about them at war and I am not a big fan of war/drama movies. Meryl Streep at her current age looks the same as she did in this film. Christopher Walken kind of looks like William Fichtner and Robert De Niro kind of looks like Ryan Gosling. Working in that steel mill a day or night how did the group of friends still have energy? I would love to know what their secret is. I know it's a movie go with it. During the wedding when the guy in the white jacket was talking I did not understand anything he said until the last sentence and then he sing "You're just too good to be true". When was the point in showing the wine drops fall on Angela's wedding dress; which brings me to why didn't anyone notice red stains on a white dress and not say anything? When Michael ran down the alley at what point did he take off his underwear? If he took them off he would have had to stop and Nick would have caught him because he was not that far behind. Who would drive to the hunting spot in their tuxes? Why didn't they change when they got the car and when did they get the car from the bride and groom? Twinkies and mustard really? I did not like that Russian roulette scene when they were caught. Why did the Vietnamese split Steven up from the rest after he played the game? How did Steven break his leg? Was it from falling off the helicopter and into the water? For me it was sad seeing the dead bodies and it makes me think that the bodies that were shown were a really small amount of those that really died at Vietnam. Nick's prostitute head her kids head on the light. I do not think anyone noticed that. I did not like how the film went from getting to know the characters to what happened at war (I am OK with that part) to focusing to Nick and then to Michael then Michael trying to get things back to the way it was before war. When we saw Steven at the VA hospital he lost both legs and there was something wrong with his left arm. I thought he lost one leg. What happened to his arm? This film left me with many questions.

Witchville (2010)

http:www.imdb.com/title/tt1506458

I was not a big fan for this film. I knew it was coming that he was the Red Queen's son, when it come to her not killing him. The witchcraft was just a lot of smoke. I did not like the ending of the film. It seemed like there should have been more to the film. It was lacking something I just do not know what.
