I
did not really enjoy this film. The majority of the film was about them at war
and I am not a big fan of war/drama movies. Meryl Streep at her current age
looks the same as she did in this film. Christopher Walken kind of looks like
William Fichtner and Robert De Niro kind of looks like Ryan Gosling. Working in
that steel mill a day or night how did the group of friends still have energy?
I would love to know what their secret is. I know it's a movie go with it.
During the wedding when the guy in the white jacket was talking I did not
understand anything he said until the last sentence and then he sing
"You're just too good to be true". When was the point in showing the
wine drops fall on Angela's wedding dress; which brings me to why didn't anyone
notice red stains on a white dress and not say anything? When Michael ran down
the alley at what point did he take off his underwear? If he took them off he
would have had to stop and Nick would have caught him because he was not that
far behind. Who would drive to the hunting spot in their tuxes? Why didn't they
change when they got the car and when did they get the car from the bride and
groom? Twinkies and mustard really? I did not like that Russian roulette scene
when they were caught. Why did the Vietnamese split Steven up from the rest
after he played the game? How did Steven break his leg? Was it from falling off
the helicopter and into the water? For me it was sad seeing the dead bodies and
it makes me think that the bodies that were shown were a really small amount of
those that really died at Vietnam. Nick's prostitute head her kids head on the
light. I do not think anyone noticed that. I did not like how the film went
from getting to know the characters to what happened at war (I am OK with that
part) to focusing to Nick and then to Michael then Michael trying to get things
back to the way it was before war. When we saw Steven at the VA hospital he
lost both legs and there was something wrong with his left arm. I thought he
lost one leg. What happened to his arm? This film left me with many questions.
