So I have to drive to school about an hour and half away from where I live and my total travel time is about three hours. I decided I would listen to audio books while driving. I thought "I can listen to the books and then watch the movie once I finish listening to it."(if they was a movie on that book.) I do not recommend you do that with this film. While I was watching the movie I was thinking, "that is not what happen in the books" a lot. I understand changing a few things like the location, and how they met. But, the relationship between father and son or the ending. I am torn between liking the book more or the movie. I would have to say I do like the book more because it did not seem like they rushed everything like in the movie. I guess if you watch the movie and not have read the book, it may not seem that way to you. I like reading a book and then watching the movie after I finish the book to understand the book a bit better (i.e. Northanger Abbey) but, when the movie has a lot of detail changed I hate it. I understand not adding ALL the details from the book but I feel that there was some important details that were not added in the movie.
